Dr. Sturla is the Principal Scientist, Translational Science at Ankyra where she develops and executes translational research plans for Ankyra’s ongoing clinical studies as well as advancement of preclinical programs to the clinic. Prior to Ankyra, Dr. Sturla most recently worked as the Head of in Vitro Pharmacology at PIC Therapeutics. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor at Brown University.
Dr. Sturla completed postdoctoral fellowships at St. James Hospital in Leeds, UK and Harvard Medical School/Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science (with Honors) in Cellular and Molecular Pathology from University of Bristol and a Ph.D from the Research School of Medicine at University of Leeds.
